Course Overview

This course is designed to enhance the home inspector’s practice in the field with a better understanding of the least considered areas of home inspection – Professional Practice and Communication. While a foundational understanding of home construction and its integrated systems is crucial to a quality home inspection, the nuances of working in a real estate transaction demand effective written and verbal communication. This course emphasizes written communication, i.e. report writing and email correspondence of inspection findings, as well as professional practice as manifested through business practices, uniform operations, and systems that meet – and hopefully exceed – minimum Standards. Home inspectors will leave with advanced knowledge that enhances the integrity, quality, and professionalism of the home inspection.
