Documentation and Records

All documents and records relating to your radon work should be carefully controlled.  Indicate in the QAP which documents you will use, how they will be used, the process for replacing outdated documents, and the method of storing your documents and records to ensure their future protection and availability. Records of radon measurements, mitigations, QAP updates/revisions, calibration measurements, equipment repairs and worker protections plans should be retained for at least 5 years or the length of time of any warranty or guarantees, whichever is longer.

Consider how you will store these records in a manner to protect against fire, flood, vermin, theft, and other catastrophic loss. For example, if you cite in your QAP that you will back up all data and record to an external hard drive, consider how you will protect the external hard drive from catastrophic loss, i.e. fire proof safe.
