Minimizing Indoor Radon Fluctuations

The levels of radon entering a home can be affected by house conditions and exasperated by environmental factors such as barometric pressure, humidity, wind and precipitation. The most important of these include whether:

  1. The house is closed (closed-building conditions).
  2. Ventilation fans to the outside are off.
  3. The furnace vs. central (recirculating) air is operating.
